Christmas Greetings from Ron Lambden
Seasons greetings to all Old Dartmothians members and their families, both at home, and abroad. As another year draws rapidly to its conclusion, it has been a year that we can all look back on with pride. The projects we undertook during 2019, i.e. the refurbishment of the regatta whalers, and the rejuvenation of the Middleton Arch at the entrance to the Royal Avenue Gardens, to name just two, have been a resounding success and admired by all of the community, so well done everyone who contributed their time and effort and also to those who contributed financially. The year 2020 will see much celebration under the auspices of the Mayflower 400 celebrations, which will commemorate the sailing of the Mayflower and the Speedwell from our Town in 1620, to form the new world in America. My hope is that we take part in the celebrations to the benefit of the Dartmouth community. To that end we have one project in mind which will further enhance our beloved Royal Avenue Gardens with a special display during the spring, watch this space for details in the coming months.
On that note, may I now wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
President, Men’s Section O.D.A.
